TopSets — 11+ practice for English, Maths and Creative Writing

1. About TopSets

TopSets ("we", "us", "our") provides online exam preparation in English, Maths, and Creative Writing, applicable across grammar school exam boards in England. By registering an account, you agree to the terms set out below on behalf of yourself and the child using the service.

2. Who We Are

TopSets is a trading name of OSR Technology Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 09705689. Wherever these terms refer to "we", "us", or "our", we mean OSR Technology Ltd.

3. Your Free Trial

Every new account includes a free trial lasting exactly 7 days, starting from the moment you complete registration. Your trial ends exactly 7 days later, to the day — we do not currently offer any additional grace period beyond this.

You will not be charged during your trial. Your chosen subscription automatically begins the moment your trial ends, unless you cancel before then.

4. Payments & Billing

All payments are processed securely by Stripe, a third-party payment provider. TopSets does not collect, see, or store your card details at any point — this information is held entirely by Stripe, under their own security and privacy standards.

Any issue with your card — a declined payment, an expired card, or a billing dispute — is handled directly by Stripe's payment systems. TopSets does not have access to your card information to resolve such issues on our end, though we're always happy to help however we can with your account itself.

You can cancel your subscription at any time from within your account. If you cancel before your trial ends, you will not be charged. If you cancel after being charged, your access continues until the end of your current billing period.

5. Promotional Offers

From time to time, we may run limited promotional offers — for example, discounted pricing available to a set number of new customers. Where such an offer applies, its specific terms (including eligibility, duration, and any limit on the number of places available) will be described on the page where the offer is presented.

Any discounted rate obtained through a promotional offer applies for as long as your subscription remains continuously active. If your subscription lapses or is cancelled, reactivating it later may be at our then-current standard pricing, at our discretion, rather than automatically reinstating the original promotional rate.

We reserve the right to amend, withdraw, or end any promotional offer at any time, including before any stated limit is reached, without affecting customers who have already signed up under that offer.

6. Your Right to Cancel (Consumer Contracts Regulations)

If you're a consumer in the UK, you normally have a legal right to cancel an online purchase within 14 days for a full refund, under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. Because TopSets gives you immediate, full access to the platform the moment you register — as part of your free trial — this right ends once you begin using the service, in line with how these regulations treat digital content and services more generally. By starting your free trial, you're agreeing to immediate access and acknowledging that this cancellation right applies only up until that point.

In practice, this doesn't leave you worse off: your entire 7-day trial is already free to cancel at any time, for any reason, with nothing charged. If you cancel during the trial, no payment is ever taken in the first place.

7. No Guarantee of Exam Outcomes

TopSets is designed to support genuine, effective exam preparation, but we cannot and do not guarantee that using TopSets will result in a pass in any exam, or a place at any particular school. Exam outcomes depend on many factors beyond the platform itself.

8. Your Account

You're responsible for keeping your login details secure. Please use a genuine email address and a strong password, as this is how we'll contact you about your account and billing.

9. Acceptable Use

TopSets is intended for genuine exam practice by the registered student. Please don't attempt to share, resell, or redistribute our question content.

10. Service Availability & Liability

We work hard to keep TopSets available and running smoothly, but we can't guarantee the platform will always be free of interruptions, delays, or bugs, and we're not liable for losses arising from such issues where reasonably outside our control. To the extent permitted by law, our liability to you is limited to the amount you've paid us in the 12 months before any claim arises. Nothing in these terms limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time as the service evolves. Continued use of TopSets after any changes means you accept the updated terms.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Why We Built TopSets

It started with a simple, quiet question that every parent asks: how do we help our child prepare well?

When our son began preparing for his 11+, we were just trying to navigate the journey alongside him. Like most parents, our goals were simple: find the right practice, keep him consistent, and understand where he was growing and where he needed a little extra support.

But somewhere along the way, 11+ preparation started feeling like a job of its own. Juggling practice papers, searching for targeted questions, tracking scores, revisiting tricky topics — and most importantly, keeping our child motivated through it all — was exhausting.

That's when we realised what was missing. We didn't need another heavy binder of worksheets. We needed a smarter partner — something that could actually keep pace with a child, delivering the right questions at the right level, adapting as they grew, and giving us a clear, stress-free picture of their progress.

Our platform adapts automatically to your child's year group, draws from a genuinely deep and constantly-varied question bank, and turns every practice session into clear, detailed insight rather than just a final score.

We're a small, dedicated team, and we think carefully about everything we build. We'd rather build a smaller set of things well than a large set of things half-heartedly — every feature exists because we believe it genuinely helps a family prepare, and we carefully curate what goes in front of your child so it feels supportive, never overwhelming.
